Terms of Service
This page is a plain-language template drafted for RTFC's pre-launch, invite-only phase. It has not been reviewed by outside counsel; a signed enterprise agreement always takes precedence over this page.

Who we are
RTFC (Real-Time Fact-Checking) is operated by Faktolumo SAS, a French société par actions simplifiée with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register (RCS Paris) under number 108 567 058, registered office at 40 Avenue d'Italie, 75013 Paris, France ("Faktolumo", "we", "us"). RTFC is one of Faktolumo's products, alongside the public Faktolumo verdict feed and the Esploro consumer app.
The service
RTFC ingests audio or a transcript, detects factual claims, and researches each one through one or more automated research methods (see Research modes) to produce a verdict, confidence score and cited sources. It is offered as a dashboard and as a versioned API (see Quickstart).
RTFC's output is generated by large language models and automated research. It is a research aid, not a substitute for editorial judgment - a customer that publishes a verdict to its own end users remains responsible for that publication.
Plans and billing
Access is plan-based (see Costs and Limits). A plan includes a monthly allowance of claims, debates, transcript minutes and billed spend; usage beyond the allowance is billed as overage where the plan permits it, or paused where it does not.
Paid plans are billed in EUR through Stripe (see Payments). Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in a signed order form.
Service level
RTFC is currently invite-only and pre-launch. The service is provided on a best-effort basis, with no uptime or response-time guarantee, while we build out the operational maturity - monitoring, staging, tested backups - described in our own engineering roadmap.
A specific uptime commitment and service credits can be negotiated as part of a signed enterprise agreement once the service exits this invite-only phase.
Acceptable use
Use of RTFC is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Intellectual property
Faktolumo retains all rights in the RTFC software, models, prompts and pipeline. A customer retains all rights in the audio, transcripts and claims it submits, and grants Faktolumo the limited right to process that content solely to provide the service.
Data processing
Where a customer submits audio, transcripts or other personal data of its own end users for processing, the terms of the Data Processing Agreement apply. See also the Privacy Policy and Subprocessors.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Faktolumo's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees paid by the customer for the service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Faktolumo is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the accuracy of a verdict produced by an automated research pipeline - RTFC surfaces evidence and a confidence score, it does not guarantee a correct outcome.
Termination
Either party may terminate a free-plan account at any time. A paid subscription may be cancelled through the customer portal (see Payments); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Faktolumo may suspend or terminate an account that violates the Acceptable Use Policy or these Terms, or that exceeds its plan's hard spend cap where overage is not allowed.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to them falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
